OELMA is hosting a one day advocacy event Saturday April 1st, 2023 from 10 am - 4 pm at the Dublin Public Library (Dublin Ohio).
This is a FREE event open to members and nonmembers.
Attendees will learn how to build relationships and meaningfully contribute to important conversations at a local, state and national level. Our keynote speaker is Jim Mahoney, a retired school administrator and former Battelle for Kids' founding executive.
Every attendee will receive a copy of Jim's book To Lead is to Teach: Stories and Strategies from the Classroom to the Boardroom which will be used in our afternoon workshop. A panel of local, state and national leaders will share their expertise on the most effective ways to communicate at each level. And our friends at Gale will be supplying lunch as they share resources they have to improve leadership skills.
Registration is limited to 30 attendees.
We will have a waiting list for those who sign up after we reach maximum capacity. You will be notified of your registration status shortly after registration.
OELMA is able to provide this program thanks to a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
